The decor results from our experience and travel in Africa (Senegal, Mali, Guinea-Bissau, Ghana and South Africa).

We had a wonderful 7 night stay. The unit was quite comfortable for our family of 3. Lots of space for our 2 year old to spread out and do activities. Both bedrooms are spacious with storage for bags and clothing. Both beds are comfortable and nice sheets. Blackout curtains. Two wall mounted heat/AC units, plus a portable heater in second bedroom allowed for nice climate control. Fully equipped kitchen, including a washing machine for laundry. Plenty of seating in TV room. Small, but practical bathroom. The unit is on the top floor, so need good mobility.
We enjoyed the Alcantara neighbourhood. Lots of restaurant and cafe options surrounding the rental. Close to Lx Factory. We loved walking the Sao Bento neighbourhood, which was just east of Alcantara. Cheap Uber rides everywhere that you’d want to go for tourism and easy access to transit. We walked to the Alfama area and back, which allowed us to see a lot of different Lisbon neighbourhoods in between as a full day experience.

We stayed in this apartment for a total of two weeks. The location was superb. It has EASY access to trains, buses and trams (including tram 28), has good access to local shops, and is not far from a number of interesting places slightly on and off the beaten path (Lx Factory, the docks, Prazeres cemetery and MAAT, Ancient Art and Marionette museums). Maybe it's a personal preference but I'm always intrigued by places that sit near the edge of well-known touristy haunts, and the location of this apartment was such a place.
The apartment itself is as accurately described in the rest of the reviews, really clean, well cared for and very comfortable. The kitchen is well-kitted, the flat is spacious and has windows facing out to the northeast and southwest. It's overall a very peaceful place to be, especially in the evenings.

Great first floor apartment. Lots of space and cutely decorated. The back patio was beautiful. It’s on a fairly quiet street with nearby restaurants, cafes, and markets.
It’s a 20ish minute walk downhill to the Belem area, and not too far from public transport to get downtown and other parts of the city. We had a great time and would stay again when visiting the area.

The biggest plus of the apartment is the terrace 🙂 great to enjoy his breakfast and then drive to the old town or to the beach!
The apartment is located just outside but is easily accessible by bus or Uber. Otherwise, it looks like described and has an awesome host.
